Zintrise Altovise (USA)

Zintrise is a Louisiana born and raised fashion designer. Known for her personal style, Zintrise believes that one’s physical style should be a reflecting of strength, beauty, and self-confidence. Segrid Allen Designs was founded by Segrid Allen, a Graduate from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. At 21 she started designing bridal/couture/prom/party gowns and swimwear. Her inspiration came from areas such as London, Germany, Paris, and Amsterdam and designers, McQueen, Galliano, and De La Renta. Segrid Allen will showcase the SS16 Swimwear Collection on the Runway and Sell Womenswear & Swimwear in Fashion Lounge & Showroom on Friday & Saturday.

Segrid says: “I love making ladies feel elegant and satisfied with how their clothing fit, and I have fun designing beautiful and fun outfits”. The SS16 Collection is inspired by Spring gardens and vibrant, youthful summer.”

Etita Richards (Nigeria)

Etita was born in the early 80s in Ikom, Cross River State Nigeria. In 2014 she started the Rich & Tita La Diva brand and since then, enjoyed the challenge to help restore African, American and European fashion pieces. RiTi Two SS16 Collection is strongly influenced by cultural and social latitude that appeals both to the local and international markets.

Birmingham International Fashion Week announces Phase 2 Designer line up for SS16 Collections

Birmingham, United Kingdom, June 30, 2015 – Birmingham International Fashion Week has revealed Phase 2 Designer Line up for its upcoming 2015/2016 Spring Summer collections, which will see more than 12 Runway designers show at Birmingham’s Macdonald Burlington Hotel from Friday 4th September until Saturday 5th September 2015. Birmingham International Fashion Week will showcase SS16 Collections from: Jayne Elizabeth Millinery, I.Kollection and Rich & Tita La Diva.


Jayne Elizabeth Millinery’s (UK) intense artistic flair is her life’s passion. Her fascination for fashion, costume, art and needlework has evolved into a love of millinery, which unites her interests perfectly.

Jayne says, “I believe that millinery is an art form: a fusion of fashion, sculpture and art. As a milliner/designer, you have to be able to think and design in a three-dimensional way, and always ensure that your creations are well-proportioned and balanced from every angle.” 

Jayne studied millinery, graduated from The London College of Fashion, and began her career working in fashion retail, design and production. She soon focused on bridal and special-occasion wear, bespoke accessories and of course millinery. She spent eight years working with couture society milliner Eda Rose, producing collections for Harrods, Selfridges and others, and creating designs for special commissions, such as royal garden parties, weddings and race meetings. In 2005, Jayne established her own label and studio in Oxfordshire, for which she creates bespoke hats, headpieces and hair accessories for prestigious social events. She has produced unique creations for Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta, weddings, parties, promo and magazine photo shoots, and many catwalk shows. Jayne Elizabeth Millinery has featured prominently in many UK and international magazines. These include Asiana Wedding Magazine, Astound Magazine, The Oxford Times, The Oxfordshire Bride and Groom Magazine, Khush Magazine, Black Brides and Beauty, and Giuseppina Magazine. The Collection is called Fragmentation Collection- the collection features strong sculptural shapes, glamour, and pieces with a definite Gothic influence. Fragments of metal, beadwork, and lace are the main distinctive elements throughout the entire collection, and are combined with tulle, silk and taffeta and velvet. I.Kollection (UK) was founded by Ihuaku Nweke in 2009. The foundational ethos of the brand is quality first in terms of the basic materials such as fabrics and jewellery stones, exquisite design and personal attention to individual needs. The vision of the brand is that everyone has a unique style and can look individual whilst also looking fashionable. The signature style is eye-popping colours, good quality tailoring with classic cuts and artistic positioning of patterns through the fabrics. I.Kollection is a designer that’s on the up and recently featured in the emerging Designer profile of the July 2015 edition of Vogue. She laid aside all limitations in her design by creating a combination of African prints with the modern fabrics to work with a wide range of colors, patterns and styles to create beautiful cloths which are functional as well as aesthetically pleasing with the consideration of who is likely to wear the garment and the situations in which it will be worn. Etita has the burning desire to redefine styles that cut across all genres both local and internationally, whilst ensuring her brand generates a recognition globally. The preparations have started for the Birmingham International Fashion Week in September. ITS OFFICIALLY BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK

This weekend Birmingham International fashion week is officially here packed full of amazing designers, stunning collections and of course fashion fabulous people! If you love fashion then you have to be here for an amazing weekend, were as well as witnessing a plethora of stunning pieces strutting down our catwalk you will receive a fantastic VIP treatment along the way complete with a fantastic gift bag!

We are excited to announce the appearance of many well renowned designers to our city from all over the world, bringing their collections specifically for all of Birmingham's fashionistas to see. Designer Sophia Dourvari will be exclusively showing her knew collection for the second time at Birmingham International Fashion week, following her recent show at London Fashion Week, her show is set to be show stoppingly elegant. Designer label Borgezie will be exclusively showing thier collection of gorgeous Jewelry designs as well as stunningly glam pieces from Nina Naustdal who's collections range from Bridal to couture pieces. High end Bulgarian Fashion designer Khloe Nova will be also adding to the elegance of Birmingham International Fashion week, showing her mix of unique, sophisticated and extravagant style in her colourful collection!

In between all of the catwalk action bought to you by presenter Frankie McCamley, Miss Birmingham and Miss Jamaica will be visiting Fashion week to answer all of your burning beauty questions, plus if you are a beauty fan be sure not to miss all of the tips and tricks from our backstage team from MLA make up who will be hosting an exclusive make up master class. Our back stage hair team from the Francesco Group will also be recommending that best hair colour for your skin type and the team from Vita Liberata will be offering sultry spray tans, so you yourself can be as catwalk ready as our fabulous models.

As well as all the brilliant designers and a range of amazing guests, Birmingham International Fashion week is also host to a collection of companies and designers that will be showing their collections in our exclusive showroom. The exquisitly quirky vintage What Alice Found will have thier fabulous vintage goods on show with a mixture of vintage items and clothing, for those of us who adore a one of a kind, timeless look. The stunningly fab Sparkle by Shalgani will also be exhibiting thier array of amazing accessories in our showroom, giving you everything you need for a red carpet worthy ensemble! We are also honoured to have revolutionary make up company HY-BRD, showing thier fantastic make up range for mixed race skin in our showroom, ensuring your skin is just as fabulous as your look!

Finally, for those Carry Bradshaw's among us who love nothing more than an gorgeous pair of shoes, Argentinian designers Tango Leike will be featuring their sultry sexy heels that are sure to have you set for dancing the night away at our Birmingham International Fashion week after party!

Birmingham International Fashion week is officially less than 10 days away and with all the excitement surrounding London fashion week this week ,we can't wait to see all of the fabulous designers showcasing their new collections on our catwalk, as well as offering exclusive treatments to our guests from our sponsors and our talented backstage teams! We're dying to see the fabulous ensembles you guys put together for this years fashion week, and sure that you will even rival Kate Moss on the front row!

So what can you gorgeous fashionistas expect at this years Birmingham International fashion Week? With one of our fabulous VIP tickets you will be greeted at Banqueting Suite, Victoria Square with a champagne reception provided by Champagne Maurice Vendome, and a glamorous red carpet, to really flaunt your most fashionable ensembles! 

On day 1 you will be treated to fabulous shows from designers Koyawo London, flaunting their glam new collections packed full of stunning and show stopping dresses. Designer Humna Nadeem and Textures Fashion will then follow continuing the gorgeously glam showcase of new collections.

In between these shows you will be treated to an exclusive masterclass from MLA, our very own backstage makeup team! Designers Khloe Nova and Nina Naustdal will then close a fantastic day of fashion wonders, treating us to catwalks of vibrant and sexy pieces that are sure to ignite our love for all things fashion!

In between shows at fashion week don't miss receiving helpful beauty tips from the current Miss Jamaica and Miss Birmingham, as well as a brilliant opportunity to converse with fashion glitterati in our special Fashion networking events, it could be just the meeting you need to boost your future fashion career! Whilst waiting for the shows to start as well make sure you check out the brilliant designers and companies in our showroom including the very vintage What Alice found and amazing accessories from Tango Leike plus many other sparkling creations!

Day 2 promises to be just as exciting as day 1 at Birmingham International Fashion Week 2014, kicking off all of the catwalk action will be label Rad Fashion followed by the glamorously sexy Chateau Boutique. Khloe Nova will then carry on the show with her second catwalk of the weekend, giving us a second helping of her gorgeous feminine designs. In between shows, our backstage hair team from the award winning Francesco group will be offering exclusive skin tone analysis from thier experienced colourists, to really find the colour to enhance your look! You can even brighten up your winter skin as the team from Viva Liberata will be offering exclusive spray tans throughout the event!

Finally fashion week will draw to a close with two amazing showstopping catwalks from designers House of Bourgezie and the fab Sofia Dourvari, straight from her recent catwalk at London fashion week!
